Since I can’t readily install applications at work, I’ve been using Meebo for IM. As long as you install the Firefox plugin it works alright. However, it seems to have inappropriate knowledge as to what my contacts are doing in the privacy of their own homes!

In case anyone was wondering, I’m not dead … yet.
Let me blow through the highlights of my personal life over the past few weeks. We’re in Edmonton now, set up in a quaint little apartment disconcertingly close to a major freeway. The audio impact of that proximity was a little bit hard to swallow, but […]

Work has been more than a bit of a bitch lately, which has meant I’ve been totally devoid of inspiration to populate this space. This was all part of the lead up to today: Vacation! But I don’t intend to celebrate […]

Previously I outlined a deep concern I had with the state of modern board games: that the industry is being driven by an unreasonably hardcore fan community. This is not a premise supported by any objective, measurable phenomenon. Instead I draw this out of my distilled experience with the BoardGameGeek site, and drew some specific […]

My little sister-in-law graduated high school today, and aside from interfering with finishing a few things I’m working on, it has put be in a contemplative mood. It has been 12 years since my own graduation from high school, and the stories from my sister-in-laws senior year made me think the world was pretty much […]
